Super grandmaster Veselin Topalov of Bulgaria will attend Bunratty 2013
The Bunratty Chess Festival, Ireland's leading Chess event, thanks to the main sponsor, Gary O'Grady, has a special guest this year, world no.7 ranked Super grandmaster, Veselin Topalov of Bulgaria. Topalov will officially open the event, as well as present the prizes at the closing ceremony, and will probably play in the Blitz competition as well on Sunday evening.
Measures are afoot to try to convince him to play in the Master event itself, but we're not too hopeful on that front. In any case, he will be around the event for the weekend so why not come along to meet the great player himself.
